Done in a traditional Princess Di design, this ring has beautiful 10mm by 8mm oval cut purple Amethyst is surrounded by 16 2mm round Amethysts, 8 round stones are set in the shoulders! Total Amethyst weight is approximately 4.0 carat.

Stones are set in a beautiful highly polished setting made of solid and durable 10K white gold (2.8 grams total weight).

The top portion of this ring is 3/4”L by 1/2”W.

This ring is currently size 7, but can be sized.

AMETHYST

Amethyst, a transparent purple variety of quartz, is one of the most popular of the colored stones. Once believed to bring peace of mind to the wearer, it was also thought to prevent the wearer from getting drunk, and if the circle of the sun or moon was engraved thereon, amethyst was believed to prevent death from poison.

Available in shades from light to dark purple, this February birthstone is relatively hard, fairly brilliant, and overall a good, versatile, wearable stone.

Amethyst may fade from heat and strong sunshine. Guard your amethyst from these conditions and it should retain its color indefinitely.
