Let's say you are using the GPS and you want to listen to a CD or the Radio, you will need to go to Radio or CD mode to listen to your music, but the GPS will keep giving directives in the background to turn & etc.The volume of the music will lower when the GPS gives you directives.

You cannot listen to a CD or the RADIO, while watching the GPS Map.
