Additional listing info MNH = mint never hinged; MH= mint hinged; MNG = mint no gum; MLH= mint lightly hinged; ovp = overprint; blk = block; pr = pair; VAR = variety; CV = catalog value; Sc = Scott catalog; Mi = Michel catalog; Sas = Sassone; CEI = Catalogo Enciclopedico Italiano; Uni = Catalogo Unificato; Bol = Catalogo Bolaffi Starting bids are typically 20% catalog value, unless noted otherwise above. In some cases, due to condition, start price may be 10% or 5% of catalog value. Catalog values above 50 euros are multiplied by currency conversion rate. Stamps from Italy and Area are typically checked for varieties in perforation, watermark and design using most of the above Italian stamp catalogs. Unless noted otherwise above, condition is generally fair to fine; please review scans carefully prior to bidding.

Payment and terms of sale I only accept payments through Paypal.Ebay automatically sends reminder emails a few days after bids have been won but are still not paid. Please email me if you are having difficulties with payment or need to delay payment. Ebay automatically tracks the length of time for unpaid bids and after several weeks drops the option to resend an invoice from Selling Manager Pro, making it cumbersome to resend the invoice. Items are sold as is. I try to catch faults and indicate them in the description above. But, I may miss something. If I goofed or you are not satisified with some other aspect of my service, please let me know via email so I can correct 'the error of my ways', correct lapses in expectations, offer substitutes, discounts or refunds. (See refund terms below.)

Shipping: Fees EACH lot has a shipping price of $0.50 (50 cents) In other words, if you win one lot, the shipping charge will be 1 x $0.50= $0.50.If you win four lots at a time, the shipping charge will be 4 x $0.50 = $2.00.If you win 30 lots at one time, the shipping charge will be 30 x $0.50 = $15.00.This $0.50 rate is valid for US and international shipping. No other discounts are offered at this time. Some store lots have free shipping, given the minimum price of $1.00 for store listings. If you win a combination of lots with shipping and lots with free shipping, please wait for my invoice. Ebay cannot automatically calculate the shipping fees on multi-lot invoices with some lots having free shipping.

Shipping: Additional shipping terms for International Buyers Import duties, taxes, and charges are not included in the item price or shipping cost. These charges are the buyer's responsibility. Please check with your country's customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to bidding or buying. Customs fees are normally charged by the shipping company or collected when you pick the item up. These fees are not additional shipping charges. It is against US and international law to under-value merchandise or mark the item as a gift on customs forms. If desired, I can send a package via USPS registered mail; this is a typically an additional $11.00-$13.00 depending on declared value. Please let me know if you wish a package sent via registered mail, since I will need to add the registered mail cost to the invoice. Note: if registered mail packages are lost (and it can happen), USPS may (or may not) refund only a portion of the invoice of the contents, depending on USPS agreements with the mail services of the foreign country in question.

Shipping: Delivery times I normally prepare packages in the evenings and mail packages within 3 business days. Typically, I drop packages off at the local post office on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday, and sometimes Saturday, depending on my work schedule. Ebay automatically sends an email notifying the buyer when I update the order status to mark it as shipped. For international mail, please allow normal time for first class international mail delivery, which can be up to 3 or 4 weeks. Registered mail will likely take longer than regular mail.I can also send US Priority mail, US Express mail, UPS or Fedex if desired. Please email me if you wish to use these expedited services, which are strongly recommended for countries where mail is often lost.

Shipping: Mishaps & lost packages Should a package not arrive after 3-4 weeks please email me. While infrequent, mail can get lost. In the past year I've had several First Class International packages get lost enroute to Argentina, Bulgaria, India, Italy, Slovakia and Spain (out of 1100+ packages mailed). As a buyer, I've also had packages not arrive, particularly from Italy. For possible refunds for lost packages, see "Refund" section below.

Shipping: Package format Parts of the auction pages for each of the lots are included in the package for buyer reference. Stamps are typically placed in a glassine envelope, taped to a stiffener and packaged in a bubble wrap envelope. When a letter is stiff or rigid, it is automatically classified as a parcel by USPS (as of August 2009, mail is classified as 'machinable letter', 'nonmachinable letter' or parcel, depending on size, thickness and rigidity). This means a small customs form is required for international mail, and this will likely delay international shipments a bit.Upon request, I can use a normal envelope instead of bubble wrap, and not provide rigid stiffeners in order to avoid having the package classified as a parcel. This will likely mean a faster delivery. However, the letter may be bent, warped, folded or damaged even worse. Please let me know if you wish the contents to be wrapped in a sealed plastic bag to avoid the possibility of contents getting wet.

Refunds Please email me within seven days of receipt of item if the item is not desired, has a fault I missed, or some other aspect of the service is not satisfactory. I try to catch all faults and indicate them in the description above. I can send a replacement if available, offer a refund or discount, or offer other stamps. It is important to me that the buyer be content with the transaction ("Ah, tutti contenti!"), and I am always open to suggestions for better service. For stamps accurately described in listing but ultimately not desired, buyer will be responsible for paying return postage. See also the return policy note in the Ebay "Shipping" tab above. For lost packages (see above), if the total cost of the items won or purchased is less than $20.00, depending on frequency of lost items and current sales, I may refund the full amount. For packages with contents over $20.00 I believe it is only fair to split the loss with the buyer.

About me After stamp collecting for over 35 years, I've decided to sell significant portions of my stamp collection, consisting of well over half a million stamps, with very strong Italy and area (including San Marino, Vatican and Italian territories), and a less strong USA, Europe and worldwide. I have decided to post in small lots first, to allow maximum flexibility for prospective bidders to bid on a missing value without having to purchase an entire set. After two rounds of auctions the unsold lots are posted in the store. If lots remain unsold in the store for a few months, eventually I will group them into larger bundles. I will post sets and/or year sets for those countries where I have sufficient duplicates. I will be posting Italy and Area portion first, before proceeding on to the rest of the world. I have already posted SMOM, Vatican, San Marino, Italian territories and colonies. I've been an Ebay buyer of stamps since 2000, and collect as a hobby. While not a professional philatelist (I am a practicing architect), I enjoy doing this in my spare time. I hope you enjoy what I have to offer, and thanks again for reading all this verbiage.
