This offered item has an sad historic background. The armband was worn by an soldier of the GDR boarder troops. These soldiers demonstrable killed 1200 people. This is strangely not mentioned at English Wikipedia, but German Wikipedia writes:

The GDR border troops were a military force of the GDR and the primary force guarding the Berlin wall and the border between East and West Germany. East Germans who tried to escape from this Bolshevik state had been shoot by those border soldiers.
