The track "Kiss Them for Me" received a surprisingly sizable amount of airplay on MTV and alternative radio, while other tracks like "Fear (Of the Unknown)" and "Drifter" proved to be standouts as well. While other similarly styled bands that were clearly influenced by their early work were breaking through commercially in the U.S. (namely The Cure and Jane's Addiction), the Banshees' were still able to retain a small but dedicated cult audience. SUPERSTITION went on to become one of the band's most successful releases in the States, due mostly to Siouxse's appearance on the inaugural Lollapalooza festival tour, headlined by the aforementioned Jane's Addiction.Portions of this page Copyright 1988 - 2010 MSI Music Corp.
