Description

1 of a number of pocket watches I am selling in auction today ...all are from a live auction deceased estate and all are as in " found " condition...they may never have been looked at , wound or used for years.. all watches are sold as spares - repair and I will mention if the balance staff is broken or not on each one... one cannot assume that this means the watch is in working condition ...as many of you collectors - enthusiasts will know.   

A silver open faced pocket watch in Working condition... hallmarked LONDON 1870 ...glass - crystal is ok...enamel dial is cracked.. seconds hand is missing.. back silver case design is worn from age and use. insdie back cover winder hole and engraved  R. WALTON - 1871 ....Taking the movement out of the front .. has a dust cover and movement is signed JNo STANILAND - MALTON 7259 ...working movement.    

The dial is approx 43mm dia .. the case is 50mm dia x 75mm long to the suspension loop x 15mm deep including the crystal - glass........and it all weighs approx...103grams. 

 The item(s) are shown next to an English 1 penny which is 20mm dia for scale.

Conversion ... approx... 2.5cm = 25mm = 1 inch
