PLEASE NOTE: VERY IMPORTANT INFORMATION! I am not a jeweler, watchmaker, watch repairman, authenticator, appraiser, or frequent dealer in items of this nature. Knowledge of proper operating condition, internal condition, or the reparability of the watches I am presenting is beyond my experience in this category. I am, for the most part, unaccustomed to opening the backs to reveal the works. I would sooner you didn't ask me to do this for fear I might damage either the case or the internal works. This watch, along with all of the many I will be offering, was aquired at an estate auction. Over the course of several years I have acquired many watches simply by the nature of buying antiques in general. I've always just set them aside in a box for selling at a later date, never really taking the time to notice what I had. The time has come to offer them to you. Please rely on the photos provided, what visual description I am able to offer, but primarily use your own better knowledge and expertise in making your bidding evaluations. I make a point of finding interesting items to present in this auction format, but I'm not always aware of the finer points. Ask questions when need be. This item has not been cleaned and is being presented just as I found it. It wil be sold"as is". Be sure to check my other items for the additional watches I am offering. As I am able to do so, individual watches on any given night will have a few minutes between the close of each one to accomodate last minute bidding for those wishing to win more than one. Each will have a starting price of just .99, with no reserve or "Buy It Now" option. If you participate and win, the item is yours. Insured shipping within the United States for the item won will be .00. There is no further shipping charge for any other watches won that close on the same date. International shipping will be slightly higher, but I will include all of the watches won within the same package for the best shipping rate.

On the works it says, "Gruen Watch Co. Curvex Patented Seventeen 17 Jewels Precision Unadjusted 9069 Switzerland GXC". On the inside of the casing it reads, "Cased & Timed In U.S.A. By Gruen Watch Co. Wadsworth 10K Gold Filled G3 84949 440 499". There are several small hand scratched initials and numbers on the inside of the case as well.
