ZEISS IKON CONTFLEX SUPER, 1st Model 1959
A fine example of the flagship camera in the redesigned CONTAFLEX system, introduced in 1959, the CONTAFLEX Super offered here is the 1st post-redesign, featuring the new interchangeable magazine back which allowed users to carry additional backs with different films, the rapid lever film advance and built in accessory shoe on the prism. The camera sported a large selenium meter located on the front of the prism, necessitating the camera name being relocated to the top of the shutter just above the lens.
The camera on offer here is in superb cosmetic condition with no discernable signs of damage any where on the body, lens or interior. It's in good functional order: i.e., the winder functions as it should, as do the shutter release and exposure meter (though I've not checked the meter for accuracy).
The camera comes with the original Zeiss leather case - an excellent addition to any collection.
